Welcome to Room 138

 

I am so excited to be your kindergarten teacher!  We are going to have a fantastic year full of learning and fun!  Mrs. Caron also works in room 138 and is excited to meet you as well.  We have been working hard planning new ways to be "together"so we can play, learn and share. This is going to be quite an adventure.  We are looking forward to taking this adventure with all of you! 

 

Let me tell you a little about myself.  I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I played school whenever I had any free time.  I would bribe the neighborhood kids with cookies so they would come to my "classroom" and pretend to be my students.  When I was old enough I went to college to become a teacher.  I feel so fortunate to have a job I love!

 

When I graduated I taught first grade.  I have also taught special education and second grade.  My favorite grade to teach is kindergarten.  I am a certified children's yoga, mindfulness, and meditation teacher.  I love to incorporate this into the school day.  I think you are going to love it too! 

 

I have two grown children, Emily and John Patrick. We also have a four legged, furry, family member named Copper, our beagle.  When we are together we enjoy going to the beach, hiking, traveling and visiting our summer place on Swan's Island, in Maine.
