ETES WEEKLY DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
Good evening everyone!
We would like to take this opportunity to share with our ETES families that our Two Way Communication platform will be changing in the Fall of 2023. We are currently using the platform Remind but our district is ending their contract with this provider at the end of this year and will be introducing a new platform called ParentSquare in the fall. In true ETES fashion, we want to keep our families most up to date as soon as we are able. Knowing now that the district will be launching ParentSquare we would like to provide our families with ample time to start the transition and explore this new platform. On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, all families will be receiving an email inviting you to join this new platform. We encourage all of our families to register to ParentSquare as soon as possible so that come August, you will be set up to receive reminders, news and alerts from ETES. You will begin to receive reminders from both Remind and ParentSquare beginning next week but Remind will phase out at the end of June. We are excited to explore this new platform alongside our parents and staff. Please remember to register with the ParentSquare via email and download the App on your mobile device.
Just a reminder that our Summer Reading Ice Cream Social Event will be taking place on Wednesday evening. We are very excited to enjoy time with students and families. Remember this was an RSVP event. If you returned your RSVP forms, tickets should have gone home in backpacks tonight, Tuesday, May 30th.
Our Buy One Get One Free - Scholastic Book Fair is happening this week. Tuesday, May 30- Monday, June 5th. STUDENT OF THE MONTH CHARACTER TRAIT
For the month of May we have been learning about RESPONSIBILITY. Students demonstrate the trait of responsibility by taking ownership of their lives and acknowledging their power to choose what they think (including their attitudes and mindsets), say and do, and their accountability for the consequences of their choices.
We will be celebrating these students on Monday, June 12, 2023. More information will be shared with these families by classroom teachers.
Important Reminders from our Nurses
This is a reminder to all parents and guardians. Medications should be brought in by an adult and never by a student. No student should be in possession of any type of medication without prior approval. All medications, including over-the-counter, cannot be administered without an order from the doctor. Medications can be brought in by an adult to the main office, where a nurse will be called to retrieve medications. Information regarding the administration of medications has been attached to our News and Announcements section below.
Also another reminder to all parents and guardians that an extra set of clothes should be kept in each student's bag for accidents, falls, spills, etc. Things happen and the nurse's office is very limited in clothing. If a change of clothes is not provided or available to students, guardians will be called to bring change of clothes for their student which takes away from class time and interrupts busy schedules. We hope you understand and can help make these instances easier.
PTO Updates
There will be a PTO meeting, Wednesday, June 14 at 6:30 in our school library. We hope you can join us!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Nichols, Principal
Mrs. Dalessio, Assistant Principal
