ETES WEEKLY DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
Welcome back everyone,
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and enjoyed time with your loved ones. December is fast approaching and with the hustle and bustle of the holidays upon us we want to remind you of a few winter updates. Be sure to check the weather daily. This New England weather can be so unpredictable. If your student is in need of a warm winter coat this season, please let us know. Please join our Remind App, or follow us on Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) for updates regarding upcoming events or school cancellations/delays.Details about these applications can be found in our news and announcements section below. Also, please remember that winter break is scheduled for December 26th-January 2nd. We will return to school on Tuesday, January 3rd.
NURSE NOTE
Our nurses office is running low on available items for change of clothing. If possible, we would like to ask that students keep an extra pair of clothes in their backpacks in case of accidents, spills, or falls. The nurses office is very low on extra clothing and if items are scarce, parents would be called to bring clothes in if a change of clothes is not available.
HAPPENING THIS WEEK: November 28th-December 2nd
- Taunton’s Lights On Festival will take place on Saturday December 3rd. Opening ceremonies will begin at 4:30pm. We hope your families take the opportunity to join in the city’s 109th celebration.
- December 4th will be Taunton's Annual Holiday Parade. ETES will be in the parade this year. We hope you will come and watch as we parade down Broadway towards the center of town ending at Marion Manor. The parade starts at noon!
Future Events
- We will be collecting food items throughout the week of December 12th-16th for our Annual Holiday Collection. The food will be given to local families in need. Each day of the week has a specific product we are looking for. Please see the flyer in the news and announcement section for more details. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH CHARACTER TRAIT
The character trait for the month of November is Gratitude. Given the season and upcoming holiday, we know there is a lot to be grateful and thankful for. This month we are looking for students who demonstrate gratitude regularly. We will be celebrating this month’s students on December 22ndt. Information regarding the virtual celebration will be sent home with selected students before the event.
In December we will be focusing on Generosity. We want our students to know that to be generous is to give and share resources unselfishly. Sharing your time, talents and resources with others is a way to be a generous individual. Given the holiday season, we hope you will find time to share with your students, more about generosity and find opportunities to participate with your student, generous acts of love and kindness alongside us.
PTO Updates
There will be a PTO meeting on Wednesday, December 14th at 6:30 in our school library. We hope you can join us! The PTO will also be hosting a Holiday Shop on December 20 & 21. More information to follow regarding the Holiday Shop will be forthcoming. If you are interested in helping the PTO with this event, please reach out via email at [email protected].
